StreetLib continues to expand its global distribution network through a new strategic partnership with De Marque. The agreement enables the distribution of ebooks and audiobooks in the Spanish-language library market via the Cantook ecosystem.

Thanks to this new integration, publishers and independent authors using StreetLib can now make their titles available across major public and institutional library networks in Spain and Latin America. This integration significantly increases their visibility in the digital lending market.

Giacomo D'Angelo, CEO at StreetLib, comments: "De Marque and StreetLib are two of the most established and respected digital distribution companies in the industry. This partnership opens up tremendous opportunities for authors and publishers in the Spanish-language market, and I'm very proud to see it come together."

Arantza Larrauri, Europe and LATAM market director at De Marque, adds: "We are very pleased about this agreement with StreetLib, which will allow us to significantly expand the catalog available to our libraries and, in turn, offer greater opportunities and a wider diversity of books to users across the library networks we serve in Spain and Latin America"

About De Marque

De Marque is an international company specializing in digital products and services for the cultural and education sectors. Its mission is to connect creators and audiences, helping cultural content reach readers around the world while making access to reading simpler and more inclusive.

The current De Marque Iberia & LATAM division originated from Libranda, a platform founded in 2010 by seven major Spanish publishing groups—including Penguin Random House, Planeta, and Santillana—to foster growth in the Spanish-language digital reading market.

In 2018, Libranda joined the Canadian group De Marque, expanding its international reach and supporting the development of new technology platforms for distributing and managing digital content across libraries, bookstores, institutions, and educational platforms.

Today, De Marque is a leading provider of Spanish- and Portuguese-language digital content, offering ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, and other multimedia content worldwide.

Cantook Ecosystem and Digital Lending

All of De Marque’s services are part of the Cantook ecosystem, a technology network that distributes digital content across libraries and institutional platforms.

Cantook Bibliotecas is a platform dedicated to digital lending. It gives libraries access to ebooks, audiobooks, and other multimedia content on any device via mobile apps, web readers, or dedicated reading software. Using open standards and advanced technologies, the platform ensures accessibility, device compatibility, and robust management tools for libraries.

Opportunities for Authors and Publishers with StreetLib

The agreement with De Marque marks an important step in StreetLib’s international expansion strategy in the digital library lending sector.

Publishers and authors can benefit from:

  • Access to the Spanish library market, including the national digital library network eBiblio.
  • Distribution through institutional and academic library platforms in Spain and across Latin America
  • Increased visibility within the library sector, offering long-term discovery opportunities for publishing catalogs.
  • Simplified distribution management through StreetLib’s unified dashboard.

For publishers and independent authors, this means joining one of the most dynamic digital library ecosystems in the Spanish-speaking world and reaching new readers through public and institutional channels.

Expanding StreetLib’s Global Reach

With this new integration, StreetLib strengthens its international distribution network, which includes online bookstores, subscription platforms, and digital library lending services.

As libraries play an increasingly central role in discovering new books and authors, publishers and indie authors can leverage library networks to expand their reach and build lasting connections with new readers.

The partnership with De Marque and access to the Cantook network represent another step in StreetLib’s mission: to make publishing distribution increasingly global, open, and accessible to all authors and publishers.
