StreetLib S.r.l., a leading digital-first publishing platform, and BookRix GmbH, the largest independent German self-publishing platform, are pleased to announce the successful completion of their deal that was first announced last October. Starting today, the two companies will operate as a single operational and strategic entity, creating one of the biggest digital publishing platforms in Europe.

This step brings together the combined strengths of StreetLib and BookRix, offering unparalleled content publishing capabilities to authors and publishers worldwide. The integration of these two pioneering companies will foster innovation and provide enhanced tools and services for the publishing industry.

A synergistic union

BookRix has a distinguished 15-year history of empowering authors to self-publish their works, achieving top eBook rankings on major platforms such as Amazon, Thalia, and Apple. StreetLib, on the other hand, has excelled in international digital distribution and the development of state-of-the-art publishing technologies.

"We are thrilled to officially join forces with StreetLib," said Johannes Conrady, CEO of BookRix GmbH. "This enables us to get back to what has been at the core of BookRix’s DNA: offering a platform for authors and other creatives to become seen and successful in new ways — even beyond the traditional mechanics of the book industry. Our combined resources will redefine how books, stories, and content are published in the digital age."

Giacomo D'Angelo, CEO of StreetLib S.r.l., echoed this sentiment: "Our merger with BookRix underscores our shared vision of transforming the publishing landscape. By uniting our expertise and technologies, we aim to provide an unparalleled publishing platform that amplifies the global presence of our authors and publishers worldwide. This is an exciting milestone, especially as we navigate the possibilities presented by new technological advancements, including AI."

A new era in digital publishing

With the completion of this merger, StreetLib has acquired 100% of the shares of both BookRix GmbH and Zeilenfluss Verlagsgesellschaft mbH. This strategic move is aligned with the evolving publishing market, characterized by a rise in self-publishers, new publishing models, and the growing importance of the creator economy.

The newly formed entity is committed to pushing the boundaries of digital publishing, providing authors and publishers with innovative tools and platforms to succeed in an ever-changing industry.
