StreetLib Expands Ebook and Audiobook Distribution in Germany Through New Partnership with Skoobe
Our distribution network expansion continues, and this time, the news comes from our German offices: Skoobe, one of the leading platforms for unlimited reading and listening to ebooks and audiobooks in German, is joining our global network of partners!
Skoobe is the digital reading and listening platform of Thalia, one of Germany's leading physical bookstore chains. The platform promises users a true literary journey, always just a click away. Skoobe boasts a library of 400,000 ebook titles and 100,000 audiobooks, published by over 5,000 publishers, ranging from fiction to non-fiction, classics to children's books, and the latest releases. This extensive catalog and diverse range of literary genres are all accessible from the proprietary application available for iOS, Android, and various e-reader devices. Users can choose from four types of monthly subscriptions, designed to meet all their different usage needs: from unlimited streaming to title downloads, multi-device access, and offline enjoyment!
The new partnership with Skoobe is just our first major step in the German publishing landscape following the recent completion of our corporate merger with Bookrix and the creation of one of Europe's leading digital publishing platforms, after the recent acquisitions of Bookrix, Germany's largest independent self-publishing platform, and the publishing house Zeilenfluss. Thanks to this agreement, German publishers who use our platform to distribute their audio and digital catalogs will have the opportunity to reach new users in six different countries and thus expand their publishing business. To date, the German platform's proprietary application boasts over 1.5 million downloads.
